I am dying to have the Nine West shoes...Not only are they on sale, but they'd look sooooo oishii with skinny jeans. I'm tired of flats...UGH. Normally I'm not really for the gladiator-ish style, but these are just...something else. Everything in the outfit above, aside from the shoes, are things that I'd like to have, but I don't care much for.
I would also really like some leopard print tights and a faux leather jacket. Le sigh... I know that I want those things, but I can't seem to find the style that I really want. Oh! And I finally found my ankle boots! YAY! I'll take a picture of those later...
CUTIE-KUN can't end a post without it being nerdy so...
My Poke'mon Emerald game is pissing me the fuck off! I can't find this goddamn Nosepass in the Granite Cave! ARG!

I want to catch them all (hahaha)...so I can't give up!
After reading Zijin's blog about "Why Brawl will kill the Smash community," I sat there contemplating. I actually went on Youtube and watched a lot of Melee videos and now I don't know what I was thinking when I thought, 'All right. Brawl is the new Smash. Just play that.' Oh how dumb that was. Brawl and Melee I believe have pretty different aspects to offer. When I say aspects, I don't mean game content (ie. new characters, stages, music, etc.). I'm talking about the way the game is played. Zijin describes Brawl to be "technically and strategically shallow" the more he plays it. Now, I know 105% that I have not played as much as much as Zijin, but I see where he's coming from. I am no where near as good as most players, but I do see a huge difference in gameplay between the games. Melee has more technqiues (ie. the infamous wavedashing) and actual depth to the fighting than Brawl. Brawl leans more towards defense,.
Thing is, I want to give Brawl more time. In my opinon, this Smash is still new and maybe it's too soon to say that it will "kill the Smash community." While I felt that his argument about Brawl being more on the defensive side to be true, I don't think that would ultimately kill the community. I want to look at Brawl as a new challenge, a new way to play Smash. Although veterans of Melee dislike things like the elimination of wavedashing, I think the Melee veterans should rise up to the challenge and conquer this game, too.
In fact, I believe that just because Brawl is out that we should toss Melee aside. I also believe that just because a lot of old players don't like Brawl that they should toss it aside either. A true Smash player will continue to attend/host tourneys for both games and appreciate/master the different aspects that Melee and Brawl has to offer.
I found a new nerdy indulgence:
I'm shatting my pants. Yeah, shat. That's how good it is. But damn, gotta read that biochem chapter for tomorrow...:\
I already showed Aki...Box-chan you must see this amazing-ness.
On Sunday, Dii came over in the morning and we played Super Smash Bros. Brawl. My goodness. I am in love. That game was awesome. Even though Shiek's speed got nerfed, I actually like using her a lot more than in Melee. Other characters I liked playing as were Pitt, Poke'mon trainer (Squirtle & Ivysaur only :P) & Zelda. I really sucked as Samus & Link, two characters I used to be really good as in the original Smash Bros. Link just seems a lot harder to play as...Anyways, Kirby's up B attack is CHEAP. It was really annoying when Dii did it over and over again. I seriously couldn't get out of it. I really need to practice short hopping, dodging, fox trotting etc. At least there's no more wavedashing (which I compeltely SUCKED at!) I need to start using the X and Y button (on GC controller) instead of the analog stick to jump. I've done that for the original SB & Melee, so it's hard to change habit...Ah well. I'll get it. Foxtrotting with Shiek is hard though because of her speed. That'll be hard to practice. Dammit. I really want a Wii. My uncle did get me one, but with college around the corner I have to save up for a laptop and just try to avoid being a poor college student in general...Oh well. I can always bother Dylan! :D
Okay, enough nerd talk. I'm really happy with my college process so far. I applied to six schools, and so far I got admitted into four: UC Davis, University of San Francisco, UC Merced & SF State. I can't find my ID to check if I got into UC Santa Cruz, but I'm pretty sure I did. UC Berkeley is next week...AHHH! I'm trying to arrange appointments with my counselors to see which school would be best to do a double major at (Molecular Biology & Japanese).
Lately I've been thinking. What I really want to do is fashion design, but big problem: I suck at sewing. Yeah. Go to design school and be an r-tard at sewing? And I can knit but not purl. Yeee. I know. I'm a failure. And all of the clothes I design are video game orientated (but I swear they're awesome!) I have this big dream (and I actually did dream this) that with my Japanese major I'll get an internship at Nintendo. At a big board meeting, I showed them protocols of my new Nintendo fashion line, "Nintendo Village." All of the clothes do relate to Nintendo characters, but they're not very cosplay-esque. In fact, they're actual clothes that people would wear (ie Princess Peach heels! haha). Anyways, I was able to open a store in Union Square and it was awesoem and I was rich and famous and my fashion line was even featured on the New York and Paris fashion week runway. I really loved my "Peach Couture" line. Damn, that was awesome.
Le sigh...yes. That'd be the ultimate career.
Yes, you read the title right. I was suprised, too. While I was readinig Anime Insider magazine (instead of doing homework! Arg!) they said that Darth Vader will appear in the PS3 version of SCIV while Yoda will appear in the XBOX 360 version.
Yeah, I don't know why either. It sucks that they won't release a version for the Wii though. :\
I finally beat Final Fantasy VII! I know in the nerd world, that's total nub that I took so long, but ah well. I want to replay the game so I can master all of the materia, get all of the ultimate weapons, etc. etc. etc.
Speaking of which, I need to get on Disgaea!
